When it comes to high-quality shoes, Harpers offers a small number of exceptional shoe lines for work, for play, for travel. A pair of shoes is in investment...one that we take very seriously. Life takes you so many places, and you need the best shoes for every occasion.
The curators at Trask travel beyond the plains searching for leathers and materials that meet the rigorous standards of Trask and have found them in some offbeat places around the globe. Because different leathers have different properties, every hide that's crafted into Trask is selected by hand. From Bison to Elk, each of these hides require special attention to enhance their unique beauty. Like making small batch bourbons, the production process is time honored and true. The Trask way isn't the fastest or easiest, but we think it's worth the extra effort. We think you will, too.
Some things remain timeless. That's how we feel about the traditional 212-step manufacturing process that has been the basis for handcrafting Allen Edmonds Goodyear welted shoes since 1922.
Every year, Allen Edmonds receives nearly 60,000 pairs of shoes that are sent to them by customers who have fallen in love with the fit and look of their Allen Edmonds shoes and want to continue to wear them. Recrafting is a service that repairs and restores your Allen Edmonds shoes. The 38-step process completely rebuilds the shoe including a new welt, cork and sole, plus they strip and refinish the leather uppers and add new laces. The result is that your shoes are returned looking almost brand new. The guarantee that Allen Edmonds gives their customers is second to none.
In 1892 Florsheim Shoes started in a small factory in Chicago, Illinois. They’ve grown quite a bit since then and have gained a reputation for being at the forefront of the newest trends, while staying true to our legacy of classic styling and quality workmanship. From material selection to stitching, they pay attention to the smallest details.
Harpers opened its doors AND Florsheim launched a new trend to appeal to an ever more style-conscious consumer and the nation’s first square-toed shoe appears in magazines.
